AboutĀ Compliance
The NSTRA's mission is to protect your rights and promote the advancement of our industry. We can only achieve this by being good neighbors and following the law. Unfortunately, laws differ from state to state, city to city, and even neighborhood to neighborhood. A responsible investor conducts thorough due diligence to understand the regulations and laws that apply to their properties. Being compliant means adhering to these laws.
Quick Links to State STR Regulations
These links direct you to our page for each state and US territory. From there, you can access specific state and city ordinances, leading you to the most reliable information sources we could find. Please note that while most of these sources are government websites, some may not be and can change frequently. If you find a better link, please share it with us!
Additionally, many city websites may not have a specific page dedicated to short-term rentals (STRs); instead, local ordinances might be included within their city codes. It's crucial to conduct your own due diligence before starting your business in any location. (Updated April 2025)
